About Me
My name is Lana Moody (she/her). I am 28 years old and live in Palm Bay, Florida.

I graduated with my BA in 2016 from UCF, majoring in writing & rhetoric and minoring in English literature. In December 2021, I received my graduate certification in professional writing, also from UCF.
I have had a few different editing careers, with my most current being a technical editor/writer for Northrop Grumman.
My daily tasks include developing document templates, editing engineering reports and other deliverables for the Navy, and releasing the documents to the Navy through an internal process. From 2020-2022, I was the newsletter editor for an employee resource group called greeNG. I created a monthly newsletter on topics about environmental awareness and stewardship.

I am very excited and honored to have graduated with the professional writing graduate certification from UCF. I feel as though I highly benefitted from the experience. I learned a variety of techniques that added to my proficiency as an editor, which I intend to apply to my current job as well as any other future career in the industry of professional communication.
